It is planned that the other half of the site will become a park and eventually be connected to the museums by a wide pedestrian walkway over the road.Castle architecture in Japan was developed in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. The design of the museum roof and the eaves symbolizes this style in an abstract way. The color scheme for the exterior is black and white, which is also based on traditional castle architecture.
